Wedge-type flowmeter (hereinafter referred to as flowmeter) is a non-standard throttling device. The detecting part of wedge flowmeter is V-shaped. When the design is suitable, there is no stagnation area in the upstream and downstream of throttle parts, which will not clog the pipeline. The pressure taking mode is not standardized. As the pipe filled fluid flows through the flow meter mounted on the pipe, the flow beam shrinks, the flow rate increases, and the static pressure decreases, resulting in a static pressure difference before and after the meter. The differential pressure is converted into 4~20mADC output signal by the multi-parameter transmitter or differential pressure transmitter installed on it. The signal is transmitted to the industrial computer and regulating instrument for flow measurement and flow regulation control. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, iron and steel, metallurgy, pharmaceutical, electric power and other industries of viscous liquid, containing suspended particulate fluid measurement. The wedge-shaped flowmeter is composed of a wedge-shaped orifice flow sensor, a multi-parameter transmitter or a differential pressure transmitter + flow display instrument. It can also be composed of a wedge-shaped flow sensor and an intelligent display meter head.
Two, the working principle
Basic principle of differential pressure flowmeter
In general, differential pressure flowmeters work based on the fact that if a fluid flows through a contractionary (throttling) part, the fluid will be accelerated. The acceleration of this fluid will increase its kinetic energy, while the law of conservation of energy must reduce the static pressure of the fluid by a corresponding value at the point of acceleration. The law of conservation of energy tells us that the total energy of a fluid in a closed system is a constant.
