The elbow flowmeter belongs to the differential pressure flow measurement system, when the fluid through the elbow sensor, because the fluid is bound by the sensor, forcing the fluid to make a similar circular motion in the pipeline according to the curvature of the elbow, the centrifugal force generated by the fluid makes the pressure difference of the inner and outer walls of the sensor △P(P1-P2). The size of the centrifugal force is related to the flow rate of the fluid V, the density p, and the radius of curvature R of the circular motion, etc. The pressure difference is detected by the differential pressure transmitter and converted into 4-20Ma signal output to the microcomputer or secondary instrument.
